Post:                          Director of HR – SAMUEL WARD ACADEMY TRUST

The Samuel Ward Multi-Academy Trust is a highly regarded, expanding partnership of schools located on the Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire borders, currently 8,000 pupils in 19 schools.   As part of our development, we are seeking to strengthen the Trust’s leadership at the highest level by appointing a talented and innovative astute Director of HR.

As a key member of the Trust’s central Executive team you will be fully involved in strategic decision making to set the future course of the Trust, providing advice to the Trust’s Board of Directors and leadership in all HR related matters.   Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with senior leadership colleagues to promote, underpin and sustain the Trust’s teaching and learning objectives.

You will lead a small team of HR Assistants based in our four geographical hubs to install and maintain robust HR administration and Safeguarding systems in all our schools.

The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have a record of sustained success at a senior level in HR management.   An understanding of HR practices in education would be helpful but more important is the ability to understand the employment environment and apply expertise to achieve positive results.

Teaching Assistant (full time)
