The Samuel Ward Multi-Academy Trust is a highly regarded, expanding partnership of schools located on the Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire borders, currently 10,146 pupils in 22 schools. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and professional HR Manager with extensive experience ideally in schools and/or academies to lead on all aspects of Human Resources.

This exciting new role provides an excellent opportunity for a pragmatic, discreet and innovative person to lead, develop and oversee the Trust’s HR function and to offer all of the Trust’s academies a comprehensive employee relations service.

You will lead a small team of HR Assistants based in our four geographical hubs to install and maintain robust HR administration and Safeguarding systems in all our schools.

The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have a record of sustained success at a senior level in HR management. An understanding of HR practices in education would be helpful but more important is the ability to understand the employment environment and apply expertise to achieve positive results.

Samuel Ward Academy are seeking to appoint an Inclusion Officer to work with our behaviour team at Key Stage 3. This person will be supporting teachers to manage and intervene with behaviour as well as social and emotional concerns and some parental liaison.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with adolescents, flexible in approach, a good team worker and can use initiative.

Part time Food and Nutrition Technician

To support the smooth running of the school, we are seeking to recruit a part-time Food Technology Technician to work with students in class and taking responsibility for cooking ingredients stock rotation and general cleanliness of the Food Technology room.

Science Technician

Salary: Grade 3: Range 14 to 18 – pro rata
Job term: 37 hours per week / 40 weeks per year

Samuel Ward Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Science Technician.  
This critical role will involve working with science teachers within an experienced technician team to support the delivery of experimental lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics to pupils from years 7-11. Experience in supporting A-level Physics would be an advantage but is not essential.
